Using this site

• Everything on this site is free to read and use. There is no account, and no content is gated.
• The calculators and guides are provided in good faith and are widely used conventions, not professional certification. Check any figure that matters against your own supervisor or ordinance.
• You may use, print and share our templates and checklists, including with other scholars. You may not resell them.

Accuracy of university information

Doctoral procedure is set by each university's ordinance and changes. We publish an institution-specific fact only once someone here has read the current ordinance and confirmed it, with the date shown. Where we have not, the page says so plainly.

You remain responsible for confirming requirements with your own department. If you find something on this site that no longer matches your department's practice, tell us and we will check and correct it.

How we work — what binds us

These are commitments we make to you, and they hold whatever you ask and whatever you offer to pay:

• We do not write theses, chapters or assignments for submission under your name
• We do not guarantee journal acceptance or publication timelines
• We do not sell authorship or arrange predatory-journal placement
• We do not use AI to generate research text you could submit as your own
• We decline work outside our named competencies rather than subcontracting it quietly

Academic integrity — what is yours

The work you submit is yours and you are responsible for it. Where we assist, you remain the author, and you should declare assistance where your institution requires it. Our AI tools produce an exportable usage record precisely so you can make that declaration accurately.

Engagements

• Every job starts from a written scope and a single figure inclusive of taxes
• Scope changes are re-quoted in writing and you decide
• Refunds are handled as set out on the refunds page
• Your research material is confidential — see the privacy notice

Limits

We are a research support service. We do not control examiners, committees, editors or reviewers, and we do not promise outcomes that depend on them. Where our work is at fault we fix it or refund it; we are not liable for the consequences of decisions made by third parties.
