We look for a published validated instrument first. If none measures your construct, we help you build and pilot one properly.
We look for a validated instrument first
For most constructs a published validated scale already exists — with established reliability, a citation, and a body of comparable results. Using it is almost always better than building your own, and defending a novel scale at a viva is a fight you do not need.
What you get
- A search for validated instruments measuring your constructs, with citations and reported reliability
- If none exists: item development, scale construction and a pilot protocol
- Item-level diagnostics — wording, double-barrelled items, response scale problems, reverse-coding
- Reliability and validity analysis on your pilot data
Before you send anything
The free Cronbach's alpha interpreter will tell you whether your pilot reliability is a problem in the first place.
What moves the price
Number of constructs, whether validated instruments exist, validation depth. You get a written quote before any work starts — one figure, inclusive of taxes, with no deposit taken to produce it. How we price, in full →
